The Opportunity


Macildowie Marketing are currently working exclusively with a leading manufacturer and distributor located in the Derby area. This will be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Marketing Manager to work with a diverse portfolio of leading global brands.


This is a newly created vacancy due to the evolution of their Marketing department and the desire to enhance their brand presence and position globally. This is a perfect position for a hungry and inspirational marketing leader who can manage a successful team and can translate the brand vision, culture and passion within the company into fully deliverable multi-channel plans.

Key Responsibilities


-Development and ownership of marketing strategies and plans to build brand loyalty, commercial demand and recognition both domestically and internationally in line with company expectations
-Full budget responsibility for own brand marketing activities and events
-Managing in-house design and external services to produce adverts, POS materials, domestic and international catalogues
-Gain a full team understanding of the brand position and competitor's activity
-Increase the product marketing understanding and capability of the marketing team
-Deliver product campaigns, trade and consumer events to agreed timescales and budgets working with internal teams and external services. Manage all external services for production of materials
-Manage the publication and co-ordination of online content through social media, e-com and direct marketing.
-Build relationships with all departments within the company to share and develop best practice and encourage close working to leverage any commercial opportunities.
-Directly manage, motivate and measure a team of 6, reviewing overall effectiveness and presenting the business case for increased resource
-Develop and distribute brand guidelines to commercial partners, brand and export managers

Key Requirements


The successful Marketing Manager will ideally be degree educated (CIM) and have a proven background within product marketing. You will have an in-depth understanding of marketing disciplines and methods within multi-channel environments. It will also be very important that you possess strong stakeholder management skills and keep up to date with industry trends and developments, thinking strategically and creatively to implement effective solutions.
