Corporate Communications Manager - Bedford - up to £60,000 + car / car allowance & bonus

My client is an international household name with a broad range of products in their portfolio and they have a newly created position for a Communications Manager to join their UK team.

This role is due to continued growth and success and will report into the MD and work closely with the senior management team. Though your role will be UK focussed, you will also liaise closely with the European Comms team; there may be occasional travel to Europe and also to smaller UK based offices.

Whilst not a requirement to be considered, experience working for a technology company (or similar) would be of benefit.

Essential to be considered are strong external Comms experience within a large organisation, demonstrable persuasion and influencing skills, and the confidence to shape this new role to have a visible, positive impact on the company. You will develop and shape the Comms structure for governance, style and efficiency.

- You will provide a link across all divisions and help to draw together ideas and communicate cross-team innovations both to the customer/consumer and employees
- You will be the main point of contact for Press enquiries (PR experience is essential) and it's expected you will have existing relationships with various media and press contacts
- Manage PR, Press and publicity events including liaising with and presenting to guests
- Work closely with HR to co-ordinate and deliver internal communications i.e. Intranet
- You will also contribute to Investor relations communications

The overall aim of this role is to further develop and enhance the company's corporate brand and to ensure that its values, products and innovations are appropriately communicated to the relevant external audiences. In addition, you will review all existing communication - including a wide array of social media channels - to ensure consistent appearance and tone of voice.

You should be a skilled user of content management tools e.g. Hootsuite and be competent with Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Google+, Instagram and especially LinkedIn.

Whilst not essential, any European languages would be of benefit as would healthcare or technology sector experience.

Offering a basic salary of up to £60,000 per annum dependent on depth of relevant skills and experience plus a substantial benefits package including your choice of either a company car or car allowance, annual performance related bonus, excellent pension, private medical cover and life assurance.
