What's the opportunity?
Thesystem is one of several in a wider programme and as such communications with the other team leads is a necessity in order to ensure success in challenging timescales. Thesystem is for one of Mission Planning's export customers and builds on their current capability. Additional opportunitiesare available to work on similarsystemssupporting our UK Government.
In addition, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with international colleagues and suppliers and managing offload activities.
What will you be doing?

- A typical development life cycle for a Mission Support Systems is 2 years, so you will quickly have an opportunity to undertake the fullsystem life cycle.
- You will be developing a newsystem within the Mission Planning Tools and Equipment Team for our International customers.
- You will be responsible for thespecification and configuration ofcommercially available hardware and software, ensuring the appropriate standards are adhered to.
- Responsible for the integration of bespoke software into commercially availble(COTS) systems ensuring correct engineering processes are applied.
- You will conduct System Engineering activities through the design, integration, testing certification and delivery programme.
- You will conduct design reviews in accordance with company policy.
- Provide regular technical feedback of progress to the Tools and Equipment Lead.
- You will establish and demonstrate positive relationships with the relevant project leads, Software Engineering team, Suppliers, offload agencies and project Stake holders.

- The UK Mission Planning & Control Solutions team has an increasing workload supporting both export and domestic customers.
- You will be working with a range of stakeholders within the company (France and UK) and with the UK Government

Who and what we are looking for from you?

- Trade off analysis and solution generation
- Proven track record of deliveringprojects on time, cost and quality
- Experience of requirements capture and evolution
- Knowledge of the configuration of components (COTS PC systems)
- Knowledge of computer security processes (lock-down)
- Experience ofarchitecting and integrating small-scalenetworked systems
- Experience of the full engineering lifecycle
- Excellentco-ordination and communication skills
- A can do' attitude and pro-active behaviours
- You should be DV cleared or willing to undertake DV clearance
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- Good project and risk management skills and knowledge would benefit
