Solution Designer - Accessible Design / HCI / Agile - Glasgow - Superb salary and benefits Head Resourcing is working with a leading financial services organisation in Glasgow that is looking to hire an exceptional Solution Designer with an extensive background in the delivery of end-to-end solution design across number of projects. Working closely with business analysts, using an Agile delivery approach, you will ensure solutions designs meet business requirements - this will be across projects in areas such as contact centre applications, fraud detection systems, voice biometrics, and private banking applications. You will maintain an in-depth understating of these applications and associated vendor products, giving guidance internally where needed and providing consultancy on projects outwith your immediate remit. Key responsibilities: - Provide technical consultancy for new initiative, assisting in the definition of business solutions or technical strategies - Produce Technical Feasibility Studies (TFS) and High Level Designs (HLD) - Provide full and detailed analysis, commentary, and recommendations for technical action as appropriate - Maintain an in-depth knowledge and awareness of new tools and technologies that can be applied to future projects - Work with technology architects to help define product strategy and roadmaps - Work with business analysts and developers to turn business requirements into solution designs that meet business needs and align with overall technical strategy - Understand constraints of current live environment / architecture and build this into solution design - Ensure technical quality standards are met, take remedial action where required - Participate in technical implementation planning, ensure integrity of live operations is maintained - Work closely with vendor representatives, both technical experts and product managers Essential: - Extensive experience in a solution Designer role with strong evidence of end-to-end delivery - Experience working in an agile project team - Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) - Stakeholder management experience - 3rd party / vendor relationship management - Evidence of design techniques covering the entire project lifecycle, both Agile and Waterfall - Knowledge of accessible design / Human Compute Interaction (HCI) design - Understanding of telephony platforms and API's - Knowledge of Information Security, Cybersecurity, and secure system design - Big data analytics - Experience across at least four of the following technologies: *Java / J2EE *.NET *Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Cassandra, MongoDB) *SOA *Micro Services *Cloud (AWS, PaaS) *Telephone platforms (including contact centre platforms) Desirable: - Degree or equivalent in an IT related discipline - Experience in financial services - Experience delivering solution design in a client servicing or contact / service centre environment - Jira / Confluence tools Benefits: - Excellent salary and extensive benefits package - Opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative team - Work for an organisation that values and rewards ability and contribution - Good transport links locally
