A new start-up developer of laser machining and marking instrumentation is now looking for a Systems Engineer to join their Oxfordshire facility.
You will be responsible for the integration of different technologies into new instrumentation, this could include to define and execute the development of new products to meet customer specifications.
Ensuring product development proposals address customer requirements, you will manage and execute complex system development projects.
Where necessary, you will review product specifications and determine the new specifications for the electronics, mechanical and software design.
You will determine the build protocols and advise design, development and production teams how the products should be assembled to meet customer specifications.
In addition you will design, prototype, test and document new designs and implement them into production.
Working within the newly established and growing team, you must have a willingness to learn new technical skills as demanded by your projects.
To meet the product development needs you will have the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
You will be involved in the full product life cycle, working at all stages of product development, and developing the required documentation.

As the successful candidate you will hold a minimum of a Degree in Engineering or a related subject and will be highly motivated to apply your abilities to finding innovative solutions to technical challenges.
Ideally you will have worked, either during your studies, or in a commercial setting, within some of the following areas: optics, lasers, mechanics, electronics, programming, instrumentation development
You should have the ability to work effectively in a team and to concentrate effort on meeting team goals, while showing responsibility for personal performance
Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of Visa and Passport will be requested.
