An award-winning FinTech company, is looking for a full time UI/UI Designer- Developer to join the Product Team at our Oxfordshire. This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented designer to bring our deep and innovative product backlog to life through web and native apps. Our client has been doing this ever since they launched, through powerful, proven methods applied at scale on big FinTech data. Since then they have grown around the world, attracting more than ten thousand paying subscribers in 99 different countries in the process.

You obviously have a passion for user interface design on the web... or you wouldn't be reading this.
Your push your designs to be both gorgeous and functional - you will always iterate on beautiful designs if they don't push the metrics.
You are a CSS & HTML standards perfectionist - you don't stop until your design is absolutely spot on.
You wake up in a sweat at the idea of a user being confused by your interface design
You absolutely love designing for data and usability - and have Tufte & Norman on your bookshelf.
You love to communicate UI/UX ideas clearly with a team through mock-ups and supporting artefacts.
You know how to get into a customer's mindset - and make the act of gathering ideas from competitors and other domains an essential daily habit.
Details, details details... perfection is unattainable, but you know details matter.

Collaborate with product management to define and identify innovative solutions for product design.
Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
Execute all visual design stages from concept to HTML/CSS and final hand-off to engineering.
Work with & integrate user feedback to improve all designs.

Proven experience as a UX / UI Designer or similar role with a strong portfolio up-to-date with the latest UI trends
Solid experience in creating wireframes & designs using tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Balsamiq
Highly skilled at creating HTML & CSS and self-sufficient at creating responsive, standards compliant designs
BSc in Design, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field a plus
Strong communicator and able to 'sell' your design vision to stakeholders effectively.
Ability to research and solve problems creatively and effectively
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum/Kanban development process
Competent working within JS Frameworks. (We use Angular 2+).
Competent with CSS Frameworks. (We use Semantic UI).

There's all kinds of benefits to working our client but the best are the great work/life balance principles at our core.
Work to live - Our founder hated the Goldman Sachs work culture... so we work to live, not live to work. Come in for eight hours of super-focused work time, and then go home.
Time Off - Great results need rest. We don't really count, but with 24 days holidays plus bank holidays you'll have ample time to climb mountains or kick back the tires.
Flexibility - we provide the option of a day's work from home for those that have longer commutes, and as many of us are parents there's always flexibility to deal with the kids.
Pensions - live for today, but don't forget the future. We contribute to your pension pot via Now Pensions, so that you know you'll be retiring well.
Sharpen the saw - whether your ambition is three letters after your name or just to learn new skills, we'll cover the costs of any education and training you want to take.
Expenses - All employees can expense every lunch that builds connections & any book that improves their mind. If it's work related we'll pay for it.
Gear up - With a great gear budget for every hire we'll help you get all the tools you need, Mac, Linux ... maybe not PCs.
