This role is vital, because this individual will be responsible for defining the overall structure of a programme or system on multiple projects that deliver lasting change. You?ll will bring the understanding of all aspects of each system, from both a business and technical point of view. And you?ll be able to do it because you?ll have a full working knowledge across a breadth of technologies including infrastructure and operating systems, as well as sourcing concepts for systems such as cloud, on premise, hybrid, bespoke, and commodity.

You will establish yourself as a go-to expert, helping teams figure out how to make very hard things happen. You will push boundaries and challenge the status quo. You will use your skills, energy and enthusiasm to make a positive difference to your clients and colleagues.

In this role you will:

  • Identify organisational needs using formal methodologies )such as Wardley Mapping and Value Chain Analysis.)
  • Create technical materials to support business decision making.
  • Utilize expert knowledge of architecture frameworks.
  • Work out which IT products to use based on cost benefit analysis and research.
  • Utilize your experience from at least two different industries in order to bring the benefits of cross sector experience to our clients.
  • Bring detailed knowledge of a specific technical field, or even better, show us that you adapt rapidly to new technical environments.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to pick up new technologies and methodologies so you can apply the benefits to our business or clients.
  • Liaise with people from different backgrounds, from management to designers and programmers in the IT department, to ensure the project meets the needs of the organisation and the people who'll be using it.

  • Help our organisational leadership maintain?and further nurture their client relationships, assist in ways to cultivate new relationships and make new connections.

What?s in it for you?

Our Client really is different to most. It?s a place where you can make the hard things happen for our clients, working alongside colleagues who value doing the right thing and not the easy thing. It?s a place where they trust in you to flourish. Because they know you value flexibility, they?ll leave it to you to decide where you wish to work ? at home or onsite with clients ? and you?ll be judged on outcomes not location. Equally they value life-work balance as much as you do, so they don?t put a limit on time off, focusing on output more than input.

Our Client has some clear, yet very straightforward values: ?always do the right thing,? ?straight-talking? and ?making a difference?- they live and breathe these.

This individual will bring to the table:

  • Experience of juggling a portfolio of activities in a consultancy type role, or as a specialist resource within a single company acting across multiple programmes.
  • Broad knowledge across the technology spectrum so you can converse confidently and challenge the proposals of people who have extensive knowledge in a particular specialism.
  • The ability to build and nurture relationships across multiple networks using collaborative and empathic skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and exemplary time management/organizational skills.
  • The vision to anticipate problems and issues as well as the creativeness to provide solutions.
  • Excellent discretion, demonstrating sound judgment and the ability to disseminate information in the most appropriate form for multiple audiences.
  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant subject to demonstrate you have enough technical knowledge to perform well in the role. This may be in computer sciences or computer engineering, information management systems, software development, business information systems, or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Great communication and negotiation skills, bringing together different views, personalities, goals, and needs.
  • A zest for life and making a difference.
