JavaScript Developer - £40k - £45k - South Reading

Avanti Recruitment is currently partnering exclusively with a software company based in South Reading. Their product is very interesting and actually helps to catch criminals! This role is to come on board and mentor a more junior Front End Developer so would be a good step up for someone, especially if they are interested in becoming a Lead Developer or Development Manager in the future.

Projects may involve deployment of existing modules, bespoke development, consultancy, training and data recovery as well as providing cost-effective and scalable hardware solutions utilising the Linux Operating System.

This is a chance to work in a diverse and active environment developing products across a range of disciplines including GIS, digital asset management, image manipulation, case management, data profiling and mobile applications. Technical Skills:

Core Skills:

Web Applications: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript

Demonstrates high quality UI design skills with well thought out HCI

Beneficial Skills:

Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks and build tools, Angular, Kendo, Knockout, Backbone

Interaction with JSON data services

Git (or other source control product)

Linux experience is useful

Role:

Design, develop & deliver application functionality.

Produce formal code specifications and other documentation.

Participate in design and code reviews.

Carry out technical presentations to other staff.

Assist in customer meetings and pre-sales activities
