Multi - Skilled Maintenance Engineer Electrically Biased (Nights)
Our client is seeking a maturely experienced Electrically Bias Maintenance Engineer, or Multi Skilled Maintenance discaplines, ideally from fast moving manufacturing background in order to join their new manufacturing site in the mid Somerset area.
Salary £40,000 + Bonus
4 on 4 off Perm Nights
This is a vital role within the engineering team, responsible for breakdown and corrective actions as well as participating in condition monitoring and the delivery of preventative, planned and reactive maintenance activities.
? Decreasing production downtime and related quality issues related to machinery circumstance, you will be required to arrange planned and preventative routines and undertake necessary corrective actions.
? Participating as a member of the shift team, investigating and improving processes, product and quality related issues.
? To participate in fault finding, diagnostic and corrective actions to maintain and improve the operation of the process equipment.
? To act as incident coordinator (on shift) in the event of major breakdowns / incidents requiring the involvement / call in of other maintenance and support services
? To conduct and support as directed by the Engineering Leadership, engineering and other improvement projects, and to pro-actively contribute to the development of safety, productivity and quality
This role will require candidates to be highly confident in decision making under pressure, liaising with all departments on shift. A demanding yet rewarding opportunity, offering succesion plans and career progression for engineers displaying technical expertise and finesse.
Successful Candidates will require
? Ideally Electrical maintenance background within FMCG environments ideally inclusive of
? Steam boiler experience would be of high advantage
? Experience of electro mechanical maintenance of high speed production machines
? PLC experience (in-house packages; Allen Bradley and Siemens preferred)
? Demonstrable expertise in component and sub-system fault finding and reporting
? Good mechanical appreciation and knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, valves, pistons.
? Ability to read and interpret electrical / mechanical drawings
