We are looking for a number of Solution Architects to work for a busy government client!
The role is based in Southend-on-Sea (Essex) or London.
Previous recent experience within government or public sector is necessary. This role is deemed Inside IR35.
The candidate's role will entail the following responsibilities: - Document and design environment requirements, networks, operating systems, databases, software, hardware, and support tools. - Work with cutover and migration to understand possible options - Non-functional requirements gathering, documenting and designing solutions to meet requirements. - Work with both product management and project teams - Support the definition of high-level functional requirements - Map business processes and requirements to detailed end-to-end system processes and applications requirements - Define all interfaces between technology components and subsystems in sufficient details to support delivery groups - Facilitate regular review of the end-to-end solution by CTO to ensure that the low level solution design aligns with the overarching programme design and architectural blueprints. The candidate will need the following skills/experience: - Experience of producing architectural documentation including Logical, Component, Process and Deployment views - Experience of providing support to a scrum team - Experience of change and configuration management - Experience of delivering work within an Agile framework - Experience of working within an agile, multi-disciplinary team environment, with the ability to deliver iterative design components (including user journeys) to the development team - Experience building server-side web applications and detailed knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably Java) - Knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems The rate is negotiable.
