Currently recruiting for an innovative digital company based in central London who are looking to hire a support engineer to join their expanding team. Looking for a candidate who is comfortable across apple & windows and is interested in working in the digital / media space.

Any experience around website maintenance (IIS / Apache) or CMS work would be highly desirable although at its heart this role sits more within infrastructure.

Responsibilities / Essential Skills

  • Be the first point of contact for problems (first/second line support).
  • Manage and complete all aspects of internal support queries, ranging from, hardware setup, email account set up and troubleshooting, to network queries and application issues.
  • Manage and Support the internal mac server, backups and network, setting up new systems to help improve functionality or process.
  • Ensure that all work undertaken in respect of problems are fully and promptly documented on the system.
  • Manage the new hire and leaver IT process including induction meetings
  • Troubleshoot customer website issues (IE upgrade advice, browser plug-in advice, log in issues) as directed by the Senior Infrastructure Engineer to assist with prompt resolution of customer problems.
  • Assist the IT team in delivery of project work which could include laptop upgrades, remote working policy, Office 365 migration
  • Support Tableau (BI tool) queries
  • Create documentation where required
  • Bring new ideas to the table for process improvement
  • Knowledge of the following products: Apple and OSX 10.6+ / PC and Windows 7+ / MS Office and general applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Presentation systems (PowerPoint, Keynote)
  • Network technologies (TCP/IP)
  • Mobile device management (iPhone/Pad, Android)
  • Exposure to website maintenance (IIS, Apache)
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP and / or C# is advantageous
  • Exposure to CMS (Wordpress, EpiServer)
