Senior Systems Integration Lead

Reporting into the systems integration manager within the systems engineering department you will have overall responsibility for assuring the integration of large complex internal and 3rd party systems for the project you?re assigned to.

The incumbent will work closely with the systems engineer/solutions architects to devise the appropriate strategy for systems integration that ultimately assures the stakeholders and advises program management of risks.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Ensure compatibility between Systems, Related Systems, Services and the Interfacing Systems, including coordination of all testing of any Interfaces and Data Feeds
  • Requirements and Systems Analysis
  • Verification and Validation of Functional and Non-Functional System Requirements
  • Produce the Integration Test Strategy by considering input from all stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Configuration Management
  • Production of technical/contractual documentation as required
  • Review test scripts, test execution, and associated test results on a daily basis
  • Perform day-to-day coordination of integration test activities
  • Coordinate regular defect reviews and prioritise fixes to ensure that overall delivery goals are achieved
  • Ensure that testing is completed to a high standard and that business and operational acceptance criteria are met

Key Requirements

Qualifications

  • Relevant Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
  • Membership of a relevant, recognised technical professional body or institute.
  • ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing or equivalent.
  • Formal leadership training.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

  • Experience in a management/leadership position
  • Demonstrable experience in leading teams on large complex integration projects
  • Experience of creating Integration Test Strategy/Plan for complex integration projects involving multiple 3rd party deliverables
  • Experienced in projects that included the delivery of both hardware (e.g. ticket machines, terminals, POS devices etc.) and software solutions
  • Experience of Systems Interface Analysis/Verification
  • Solid understanding of the full SDLC for large systems

Desirable:

  • Involvement in ISO9001 based engineering development processes
  • Experience in a Systems Engineering, Systems Analysis or Project Engineering role
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP and other transports and protocols
  • Working knowledge of SQL queries
  • Working knowledge of APIs
  • Experience of using HP Quality Centre (ALM)
  • Experience of using automated test tools
  • Familiarity with MS-Project, Suretrack and/or Primavera for planning purposes
