The Management Accountant will manage the financial's for three different different departments which will be be for housing & commercial property, enterprise & commercial, and charitable activity.
The company are one of the largest social enterprise business across the UK with assets of over £50,000,000 pounds. They own several buildings in the city which generate them a profit which they then recycle into social mobility building causes. With another several million pound development project in the arts, the management accountant will be a key person in putting together the financial plans for this project.
- To prepare and distribute the management accounts, with narrative and variance analysis, per specified deadlines to ensure board members and the Management team are in receipt of accurate and reliable information in a timely fashion.
Maintaining up to date, complete and accurate reconciliations of accruals, prepayments and balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate end of month cut-off and cost/revenue recognition.
To ensure the finance team fully comply with finance procedures as documented and to recommended changes to the procedures manual as appropriate to ensure consistency of approach and understanding of processes.
Assisting with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for all companies.
To prepare and submit the quarterly VAT returns, ensuring that timing differences between the return and the management accounts have been identified.
Support projects as required.
Qualified CIMA Accountant with 3-5 years experience in preparation of monthly management accounts and commercial experience
