TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER - VMware
Technical Support Engineer - VMware - Microsoft Server, Microsoft Exchange, VMware Technologies - ESXi, VDI and vCenter - I am looking for an IT Operations Engineer to join a rapidly expanding Award Winning Microsoft Gold Partner, VMware and Cisco Partner. The successful candidate will have exceptional hands-on build experience with Windows Server, Exchange Server, VMware (ideally VCP certified). Previous experience in IT Services / Managed Services / Hosting would be very advantageous.
- VMware Technologies (ESXI, VDI and vCenter)
- Microsoft Server OS (Versions 2003 - 2012 R2)
- Microsoft Exchange (Versions 2010 - 2016)
For this role, you will receive extensive exposure to a number of cutting-edge technologies and offer a challenging but fun working environment. You will be encouraged to tackle challenging issues through to resolution rather than hand issues off to specialist teams - although help and support are always at hand!! Knowledge of the following technologies is beneficial but not essential - Microsoft SQL Server (Versions 2005 - 2014), Symantec/ Veritas Enterprise Vault, Backup technologies (Actifio, TSM, Backup Exec), Cisco, Juniper and F5 Network Devices, Raytheon / Forcepoint Websense, Symantec Altiris, Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP)
This is a shift based opportunity - Shifts are 1 week in 8 with 1 early week, 1 late week and 1 remote Night shift week. The rest are generic 09.00 - 17.30 hours.
