Overview of the role:

A leading cyber security consultancy require a Network Consultant to join their expanding team due to continued growth.

As a Network Security Consultant, you will design, configure, implement and deliver the new network security Infrastructure which involves mainly Checkpoint & Palo Alto firewalls and load-balancers (F5 or equivalent).

Experience working in a financial, telecoms or retail background is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities:

* Design, implementation and end-to-end support (when required).
* Installation and configuration of Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls (policy changes, upgrades, migrations, etc.).
* maintaining and improving the overall security of multiple platforms within the department.
* Bridging the gap between the technical 2nd & 3rd line support team and updating. stakeholders of any changes within the cyber security infrastructure.
* Security infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS).
* Support the organisation with any projects and requirements.

Experience:
* 5 years+ cyber security experience.
* Technical background with proven track-record designing, implementing and supporting systems and solutions.
* Security qualifications e.g. CISSP, SSCP, GIAC, QSA, CEH
* Cisco environments (CCNA, CCNP, etc.)
* Checkpoint Certified Security Expert (CCSE).
* Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) (desirable).
* WAN & LAN.
* Routing & Switching.
* Working within a team environment.
* Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Understanding of the differences between Cisco ASA, Checkpoint & Palo Alto firewalls and the process required to successfully migrate rule sets between devices.
