Linux Administrator - Redhat - City of London, Bank

A market leading global financial services business are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator that is able to build software from Source Code. This role would suit someone that lives and breathes Linux and regards themselves as an expert in this field. You will be joining a fantastic technology focused business that really invest in both their staff and technical environment.

As their Senior Platform Engineer you will be responsible for supporting and ensuring the availability of their Linux Infrastructure. Key responsibilities will include:

Patching and upgrades of Redhat Linux OS and server wireframe
Redhat Linux system administration and networking
Troubleshooting and issue resolution of network stack incidents
Configurations management using Puppet and version control
Systems monitoring and availability

Operational BAU responsibilities will include completing service requests, responding to incidents and troubleshooting for production and development teams. You will take an active role in planning for future capacity and monitoring system availability. You will have the opportunity make use of your advanced Linux and troubleshooting skills within a large and low latency server estate, work on complex, evolving and high performing platforms as well as developing your automation skills.

To be suitable you MUST be a Linux expert and will have gained circa five years Redhat Linux experience; ideally you will be RHCE qualified. You will be comfortable patching runs of hosts, analysing kernel crash dumps and tuning network performance.

The salary on offer for this role is £60,000 plus bonus and benefits.
