Person Specification - English Graduate Teaching Assistant

The ideal candidate for this role will be an English Graduate with a 2:1 or above degree who is passionate about your subject. You must be available to start work in September for the full academic year. Experience is working with children is not necessary, however any previous tutoring experience would be advantageous. Resilience, determination and commitment is key to this role so if you possess these attributes then we would be keen to hear from you!

About the role

You will make a substantial contribution to the dynamic English Department using your expert subject knowledge. This role requires you to work with both under performing and high achieving pupils in KS3/KS4 in 1:1 and small group sessions. This role has a mixture of pastoral and academic duties so you will have a variety of experience across the whole school. In addition to this you will assist the class teacher in lessons ensuring progress is being made.
