Looking for your new/next engineering opportunity in Manufacturing? Then this could be just for you!

I am currently recruiting for Multi-Skilled Engineer for one of my clients in Northamptonshire.

This is a great position for an engineer who wants to expand their knowledge in Food Manufacturing and really get hands on in the role. They are a growing company, so you'll get to work with different types of machinery and develop yourself as an engineer.

The Role:

  • Maintain and Repair
  • New Installations

As a multi-skilled engineer, you will be maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment and machinery, and services to a high standard in line with all relevant legislation, health and safety law and company codes and practice and hygiene rules.

As the company grows, you will carry out new installations as well as modifications and improvements to existing equipment.

Overall, you will be proactively improving equipment operation to reduce machine downtime and increase production efficiency according to company's KPI's

The candidate:

  • Recognised engineering qualification (mechanical or electrical).
  • Experience with PLC's.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis & fault-finding techniques.
  • Have a 'can do' attitude.

Previous experience in mechanical or multi-skilled engineering is essential; this could either be through an engineering apprenticeship, degree or HNC. It would be desirable if you had experience with PLC's and had previous experience in Food Manufacturing / FMCG, however any experience in relevant sector will be considered. Knowledge of root cause analysis & fault-finding techniques would also be helpful.

You will have an ability to work in a team and also on own initiative.
