Compliance & Risk Manager Opportunity for a Business that Truly Makes A Difference in the Local Area

Your new role
To create a robust framework for managing all aspects of the regulatory framework that the organisation has to work within. Key Regulators include Fundraising Regulator, ICO, Charity Commission, Gambling Commission and the Care Quality Commission. To ensure that all staff have regulatory awareness within their day to day working, and that the Risk Matrix of the organisation is managed in a proactive manner. Ultimately, to keep the organisation safe from regulatory breaches

  • Create a compliance monitoring methodology appropriate for business
  • Ensure that Compliance and Risk are placed appropriately within the commercial context that the company operates in
  • Develop a robust reporting and KPI methodology for compliance management
  • To ensure that all key stakeholders are engaged in the management of risk within business
  • Foster a risk aware culture within business
  • Build strong working proactive relationships with the regulators of business
  • Build strong working relationships with all managers in business, who will be primarily responsible for certain elements of regulatory compliance
  • Provide confidence to the company Trustees that compliance responsibilities are being appropriately and robustly managed
  • Ensure that the strategic compliance agenda is adequately resourced and prioritised
  • Develop charity wide resources and awareness for all staff around data issues pertaining to GDPR and the Fundraising Regulator.
  • Maintain awareness of key regulatory future changes that will impact business
  • Promote a positive conduct, compliance and risk culture within business


What you'll need to succeed

  • Working experience of managing data protection within a medium size organisation
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of GDPR legislative impact
  • Good project management skills
  • Knowledge of a Risk Management framework
  • Ability to influence people working in all parts of the business
  • Ability to impart knowledge and share with others
