Our client who is a Global Leader within their Industry are looking for a Design Engineer (Electrical) to join their rapidly expanding Wirral based team and to travel the World. Your New Role You will be working within a small dedicated team on the Electrical/Electronic Systems contained within the Launchers and ancillary equipment; specifically, design, assembly, testing and installation of the Launching Systems. As the successful candidate will... - Have the potential to undertake an engineering project, from initial concept or specification through to final production, this role promises variety, interest and reward. - Conduct concept, detail, assembly and production designs, design calculations and analysis, work closely with colleagues and customers to overcome technical challenges and develop practical and innovative cost effective, designs for manufacture, using SolidWorks for the engineering of equipment, systems and components. - Be computer literate and have the ability to create and maintain Bills of Materials on an integrated business system (SAP). - Possess a Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering and have significant experience of Electrical design. - Be able to work as a member of the Development Team, in producing and developing prototypes for new product launch. - Be able to prepare schematic diagrams, information and advice for inclusion in Operating Manuals, Service Manuals, Sales literature and Training materials. - Possess a good telephone manner and be able to express a technical opinion to both technical and non-technical audiences. A driving licence is preferred (Private Light Goods), as travel may be required to undertake the occasional site visit to liaise with both Customers and Suppliers. Attractive Package available for the succesful candidate. Hours of work are Mon-Thurs 8am-4.30pm and Friday 8am-1pm 25 days holiday per year plus B/Hs Contributory Pension Scheme after three month probationary completion.
