3rd Line IT Support Engineer - Midlands

Your job:

In this role as a IT Support Engineer you will be helping some 250+ customers with IT technical issues. Some of the duties involve:

- Receiving and responding to problems from customers via email, phone and chat
- Identifying, researching, and resolving customer issues using available resources
- Following-up on customer problems not immediately resolved
- Recommend solutions to fulfill requirements and solve problems
- Providing support to junior IT engineers
- Schedule is MON to FRI 9am - 5.30pm

Personal Skills:

- Excellent telephone manner & communication skills are essential
- Ability to be calm when under pressure
- Confident in problem solving skills and be eager to learn
- Ability to define problems, establish facts and provide solutions
- Will need to be a team player, however also able to work without supervision

Experience required in some or all:

- 1 year + experience working in a similar role
- Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems (2003/2008/2008R2/SBS/2012/2016 Server/XP/Vista/7/8/10)
- Core Microsoft Infrastructure technologies and solutions (Exchange, IIS, AD, RDS)
- Hyper-V, VMWare
- Backup technologies (Backup Exec, Storagecraft)
- Server hardware maintenance and troubleshooting
- Firewalls (Sonicwall, Watchguard, Sophos UTM)
- Office 365

Qualifications:

Your application would be strengthened by

- MCSA/MCSE or working towards
- MCITP-Microsoft Certified IT Professional
