The perfect person for this role would be a Psychology graduate keen to build their skills before becoming an Educational Psychologist. A passion for supporting children with Autism is a must, as is a friendly personality and heaps of ambition! If you have been volunteering whilst at University then even better, this is your chance to combine your academic knowledge and your passion for special needs.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the learning of a specific Year 2 boy who is on the autistic spectrum. He has responded well for the last year with 1:1 support and the school is keen to keep this progression going. He needs constant attention and you will support her in class and during withdrawal time. You will be a strong-willed person who is looking for a challenge in providing great support in this 1:1 role.

This school is a charming single form entry mainstream primary found in Sheffield and is easily accessible from a wide range of public transport links. The school was recently graded 'Good' in its last ofsted report and has higher than average numbers of SEN children. The school is well run and has excellent supportive staff and has built a following from local parents of children with learning barrier as it provides a real opportunity for them to remain in a mainstream setting.

Part of the success of supporting children with additional needs has been appointing talented graduates with a passion for SEN, and this post is available as someone is taking up a Masters degree in September!
