For this English Teacher role, you must have QTS and experience teaching students up to GSCE English. If you have experience leading functional skills then this will also be part of the role as many students will not sit their GCSEs in English/Maths but will complete functional skills instead. The ideal English teacher: Has at least 1 years' experience teaching students with SEMHD either in mainstream or special needs setting Can use a range of behaviour management techniques Has taught English up to GCSE level Has QTS (essential) This PRU has 2 sites, one for primary and one for secondary, and aims to re-integrate all students back into mainstream education. They use a cross-curricular approach in all sessions and encourage staff to use all resources available them. The school is based opposite a large mainstream school and has access to their facilities via a booking system. They also run training for the staff at the PRU and are constantly looking at new training programs they can put in place.
