My client a top tier Asset Management/Bank based in central London are looking for a Senior PMO with financial services/banking experience to join their expanding team.

What the role will entail:

- Enhance/tailor the existing project lifecycle and related documentation.

- Initial evolution and ongoing production of regular consolidated programme MI for the Head of Change/COO to track progress, risks, issues, costs, dependencies and benefits etc.

- Change control procedures are followed and tracked at all times.

- Functional responsibility for project support officers. Share best practice and create a virtual team culture.

- Review and enhance programme/project governance and document storage as appropriate.

- Produce guidance/training material to ensure the central model can be leveraged by businesses which will in turn facilitate increased opportunity for central oversight.

- Support change management delivery by careful coordinated resource requirement planning.

- Assess the opportunities to automate the above using appropriate technology.

Successful candidates will have the following experience:

- Lifecycle and Documentation - Maintaining and enhancing where appropriate the Banks project lifecycle, standard project document templates and related procedures.

- Flexibility - Ensuring optimal flexibility within the lifecycle to enable alignment to the IT lifecycle and appropriate tailoring for individual projects.

- Management Information:

- Production of regular consolidated programme MI for the Head of Change/COO to track progress, risks, issues, costs, dependencies and benefits etc.

- Production/oversight of project related updates for various governance committees and update meetings.

- Costs and Benefits tracking - Working with the Finance Business partner to ensure the appropriate cost/benefits management, control and reporting frameworks are deployed.

- Change control - Reviewing all existing change related policies/procedures and seeking to enhance where appropriate, deploy through effective communication and record/monitor going forward.

- Document Storage - Reviewing the current approach to document storage and naming conventions and seek to enhance through use of new tools.

- Project Governance MI - Review all project related MI. Standardise and enhance as appropriate.

- Training - Ensuring all new project related resources are appropriately briefed and given access to standard docs and guidance notes on arrival.

- Virtual Team - Functional responsibility for bank central "PSO" team. Building on the virtual team concept and thereby optimizing the economy of scale to support all projects.

- Supporting Change Management delivery - Working closely with the Change Manager to ensure the five workstream of change are embedded within the overall project lifecycle.
