Director of Engineering - Software Consultancy | £120k - £160k + bonus/bens | London, UK

One of the UK's leading bespoke software development consultancy firms are looking to add a Director of Engineering to their leadership team in London. The company in question are a rapidly expanding software development focused consultancy who have an exceptional reputation for technical excellence as well as first class delivery and work with some of the biggest FTSE 100/250 brands in the UK.

The role of Director of Engineering will lead a practice of around 200 software development professionals spanning Development, Testing and Architecture and be fully responsible for the team’s management growth and overall success.

The successful candidates key responsibilities will be:

- Management of the Dev/Test/Architecture function (150-200 people)
- Overall responsibility for recruitment strategy, team growth, career development and retention of staff
- Contribution to overall strategy of the consultancy and the future growth plans for the overall business
- Project assurance and Technical quality standards within the team
- Pre-sales and senior level client engagement
- Senior level client stakeholder management

To be considered for the role of Director of Engineering you will have:

- Prior experience in a senior technical leadership role within a consultancy or other SW development organisation
- Consultancy/professional services experience is essential
- Experience of managing and leading a large team of Developers/testers and alike previously
- Strong people management skills
- Experience of building, growing and retaining teams of people
- Technical background (ie: dev, test, architecture, delivery)
- Experience working at CxO level
- Experiencing of working at a strategy level within global FTSE 100/250
