Seeking Teaching Assistants for a 1:1 position in KS2

Your new School
You new school is a mainstream Wirral primary school praised by Ofsted for their quality teaching and support for children with special educational needs. The school has recently been rated 'Good' by Ofsted and has over 200 pupils aged 3-11. Due to increased need for support this academic year a job for a additional qualified Teaching Assistant has been created to start in January 2018.

Your new role
Your new role will be to work as a Teaching Assistant supporting pupils within the Y3 class on a 1-1 basis with additional needs. You will be working with the child on a long term basis offering support in the classroom setting. In addition to this you will be working within a supportive and thriving team. Whilst the position will initially be a temporary agreement lasting six months, you could be asked to join the school on a permanent basis if you have adapted and integrated quickly.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to have a minimum of 6 months experience within a primary school setting and be experienced in working with children of primary school age. Your experience will also have to have been within the past 2 years. Ideally we are looking for candidates who have experience working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who suffer from SEMH difficulties but will consider applicants from a general TA background.

What you'll get in return

You will be paid a competitive daily wage, based on your experience plus you will accrue holiday pay with the option to take it at any point of the year. You will receive free, up to date safeguarding training. You will enjoy working within a variety of primary, infant and junior schools and will receive the benefits of working with your own personal teaching assistant consultant who specialises in your local area. If you know of other education professionals looking for supply, long term or permanent work, you can also receive £250 worth of vouchers every time you recommend a colleague to Hays Education.
