VIP Support Engineer urgently required for my high profile client based in central London.

My client can pay upto £45k basic salary for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • The VIP support engineer will be sensitive to the protocol and etiquette needs. Professional appearance and behaviour is expected at all times.
  • Because of the skill level required, the VIP support engineer will excel in service delivery, technical ability and mobility support.
  • Drive service excellence through ITIL based continuous improvement planning and regular stakeholder service reviews.
  • Support and maintain local hardware infrastructure at London Victoria office, interfacing with wider internal teams where appropriate.
  • In conjunction with the IT Service Desk, act as single point of contact for the GEC, diagnosing breakdowns/faults and taking corrective, remedial action as necessary.
  • Areas of support would include:

o Support for all existing IT related provided equipment such as PCs, Macs, printers, phones and tablets.

o Assistance with testing and integrating new IT provided equipment as required.

o All software support requirements for standard office applications such as Microsoft Office as well as internal applications.

o Conference room support from testing AV equipment and connectivity prior to the beginning of meetings and being on standby if problems occur during meetings.

o Other projects such as offsite conference support as needed.

Role Requirements:
  • Experience in an executive-level hands-on desk side support role required.
  • A motivated, innovative and committed individual is required to succeed in this role.
  • Candidate will have a 40hr contract but must be prepared to demonstrate an enormous amount of flexibility by being 'highly available' and ensuring that they are sufficiently supported at all times.
  • Must have valid driver's license with reliable vehicle and appropriate insurance.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office software, Mac OS & Google support.
  • Proficient with PC hardware repair and can troubleshoot/resolve software and operating system issues on both Windows and Apple products.
  • Excellent communication skills, professional appearance and customer service skills required.
