PHP Developer £30,00-£42,000 bonus Manchester
Brilliant opportunity for software developer with experience in Agile/ OO / TDD environment looking for a fresh new challenge to work on brilliant new products for a highly successful and established organisation
Central Manchester - Great new offices - £30,000 - £42,000 dependent upon experience- plus bonus and flexible working hours.
The aim for this new division of a global leader in their field is to not only become best in class, but remain best in class!
They are looking for a brilliant software/ PHP developer to help develop and shape their core product offering which is enterprise software solutions and services to the global wholesale and retail market.
Based at brand new state of the art offices in Manchester city centre, this exciting new division is looking to attract an experienced developer who will be working within a technical development team who really will set the bar!
With a minimum of 12 months development experience in a commercial environment, you will be part of an Agile team designing and developing high-quality end-to-end solutions. Even if you do not have all of the required skills - if you have the right approach (and the minimum required 12 months commercial development experience in relevant areas) and a keen interest to learn and research, this could well be the next move for you.
You will possess solid skills in modern high-level object-oriented programming languages, ideally PHP, as well as a familiarity with modern development practices and design principles, such as TDD and Continuous Integration. The successful candidate will work closely with the product owners within the business, helping outline the development roadmap whilst delivering quality software in line with agreed SLA's.
Required skills include:
- A sound understanding of software engineering practices
- A strong understanding of object oriented PHP
- Good grasp of common object-oriented design patterns and principles
- Experience of relational databases (e.g. MySQL)
- Knowledge & technical experience of LAMP Stacks
One of the key attractions for a number of different people that have started here is the fact that is the feel of a start-up business and the excitement, aims and goals that naturally come with that but that there is the security of a larger robust and financially secure and highly successful business. This is an agile environment where likeminded technical people can flourish - core working hours 10-4pm but flexible outside this to miss traffic or a crammed train or tram, or maybe just because you want a better work life balance
Please apply with a copy of your CV asap - as I have telephone interview slots with this brilliant client this week.
