As an Accounts Supervisor for this multi sited practice near Folkestone, you will manage a portfolio of very exciting clients and be the main point of contact for your portfolio. You will work directly with the accounts Manager/ Partner and supervise the more Junior members of the team.

This client is a highly reputable multi-sited accountancy practice near Folkestone with a great reputation in the South East and Further Afield. There is a lot of scope for development and progression within the business. You will manage your own portfolio of clients and provide a mixed service to a wide range of clients.

Description

Based near Folkestone as an Accounts Senior/ Supervisor, this will be a varied and interesting role with no two days the same. You will be involved in reviewing and preparing financial Statements, VAT returns, management accounts and fundamental tax returns. You will be responsible for the allocation of work within the team to meet deadlines and budgets is a key focus of the role.



Ensure you understand fully the clients principle activity requirements

Build and maintain long standing relationships with clients

Assist clients with ad hoc questions in relation to basic financial matters including the interpretation of results

Assist clients on the setting up and development of internal systems and controls, including implementing suitable accounting software

Be able to relay with confidence knowledge on tax matters

Keep partners up to date on progress of client work

Be able to prioritise correctly to ensure work flow

Ensure planning of your work is thoroughly thought through

Promote the firm and identify opportunities for obtaining new business

Have a full awareness of the services offered by the firm

Actively support the Partners with business development opportunities

Prepare some book-keeping if required

Prepare records up to trial balance level

Prepare regular management accounts

Have a full knowledge of compliance including Anti-Money Laundering Procedures

Profile

The successful candidate for this role near Folkestone will be/have:



Have a professional accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA)

Have a minimum of 3 years experience within a practice environment

Experience in supervising and supporting junior members of the team

Have a solid understanding of accountancy software packages including Sageline 50, Xero and CCH Accounts production

Have a good awareness of modern technology in general

Excellent attention to detail and strong technical ability

Ability to work under pressure with accuracy and be able to multi-task
