Linux Systems Administrator, Network Engineer, Red Hat, Cisco
Linux Systems Administrator, Red Hat RHEL - Candidates will have at least 4 / 5 years Linux Systems Administration as their core skill and whilst ideally Red Hat the client will consider other variants - CentOS, EOL, Debian, Apache, SuSE, Solaris, AIX ? with at least one Scripting language ? Python, Bourne, Korn, Perl, PHP, C-Shell etc.
Whist the emphasis is on the Linux Systems Administration ideal candidates will also have strong Networking Skills including installing, configuring and supporting Cisco and Juniper Routers / Switches along with knowledge of OSPF, BGP and Multicast highly desirable
Candidates will have a strong knowledge of Virtualisation / VMWare within a SAN Infrastructure and experience with Configuration / System Management tools such as Puppet / Chef, Ansible, Jenkins etc along with knowledge of Kickstart and some Infrastructure Monitoring such as Zabbix / Nagios.
Any CCNA / CCNP, RHCSA / RHCE qualifications all beneficial.
NON ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Any previous Financial / Banking experience in an Ultra Low Latency environment including BIOS / Kernel Tuning and Optimization and any Dev Ops experience is highly advantageous ? although this is a superb opportunity for someone with the core Linux Systems Administration to gain exposure to some invaluable skills.
Again not essential and not a major part of the role but any Application Support including High Availability Futures & Options Trading Systems such as:
ION Trading, PatSystems, GL Trade, Nyfix, RTS, Easyscreen, ECCOWARE, Trading Technologies, ULLink, X-Trader, FIX, Fidessa, ECCOWARE, LIFFE Connect etc and connectivity to their related Exchanges (Euronext / LIFFE, Eurex / DTB / MISS Servers, FIX, Xetra, Matif, CME, Xetra, CBOT or other generic / Market Data Feeds - Reuters, Bloomberg, CQG all beneficial.
