The Company

They supply into a range of blue chip companies across the globe and their products are made from exotic metals for various high-tech applications. The company provides a range of bespoke products and solutions which provides a rare variety of challenging design problems.

The Role

You will be involved in design projects from start to finish, interpreting the client specification and establishing the needs for manufacture. Your hands on design and mechanical engineering responsibilities including design, DFM and FEA. The leading edge and challenging nature of these product based problems make this a tremendously worthwhile environment. This is a place where variety and autonomy are coupled with product creation and realisation.

The Person

You will be a qualified mechanical design engineer with the ability to develop a range of products and manage complex projects (several at any one time). You also need hands on can-do attitude, excellent communication skills and an ability to organise, plan and prioritise core tasks. You also need to be able to create 3D models, FEA and carry out hand calculations, as well as creating and managing design documentation. An understanding of valve and highly engineered product design is also an advantage but can be developed through the excellent training programme on offer.
