Our main product is a ground-breaking and innovative pressure reducing valve, with plans to develop other fluid flow control equipment for many industrial sectors.

About the role:

Oxford Flow seeks an Industry Compliance Engineer to qualify a range of fluid flow equipment to ensure conformity to all regulatory and legal requirements for the supply of products into regulated markets in the water, gas distribution, oil & gas and process sectors.

The role will be based in our Operations team, supporting the Design team and leading our product compliance across a range of industries. A key role is to ensure Oxford Flow's products are compliant with the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), as necessary. PED is a critical legal requirement for Oxford Flow as it must be met to sale pressure equipment.

The person will also interact with Business Development and Production teams. The role will include understanding detailed regulatory and customer requirements, especially PED, preparing procedural documentation and creating specifications for product testing (both in our workshop in Oxford and contracted at European testing facilities). All activities fit within our ISO9001 quality system so a key requirement of the role is to lead on Quality Assurance and ensure adherence to these processes. The role will support project management with report preparation of our product development projects.

About You:

-Engineering-based higher certificate (Level 4-5) or technical degree or equivalent
-Proven report writing skills
-Ability to support project management for industry-led product development projects
-Interest in fluid flow equipment and industrial processes in our key sectors of water, gas distribution, oil & gas and process
-Enthusiasm for engineering industry standards and regulation compliance
-Ability to become proficient in PED and BS EN 334 for gas regulating valves to 100 bar
-Ideally, some knowledge of fluid flow and pressure systems
-Ability to lead QA for Oxford Flow, knowledge of ISO9001 quality systems (not just auditing), and with the necessary skill to draft and communicate important procedures
-Genuine interest in enhancing the skills necessary for preparing technical documentation
