Senior Ground Investigation Engineer
Workload in our clients North Yorkshire office has been steadily increasing and they are now in a position where they need to strengthen the established team of analysts and geotechnical engineers with an enthusiastic and dynamic Senior Engineer who is looking to develop their skills and career.
Their clients, which include major contractors, energy infrastructure providers and associated local construction professionals, commission us on projects that vary in size and nature both in the north of England and across the United Kingdom.
The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years' experience seeking to focus on the technical delivery and management of geotechnics/contaminated land.
A ground investigation specialist with a degree in civil engineering or engineering geology and postgraduate specialism would be advantageous.
They will have a sound understanding of UK geology and UK construction practice, and be versed in the tendering, management and delivery of small to large scale ground investigation works.
They will be either chartered engineer/geologist status or shortly to undertake the examination or review process.
Knowledge of GeoEnvironmental engineering and its interaction with geotechnical design will be necessary and excellent report writing skills will be required.
You will be expected to combine site work with the challenge of tendering, management and technical project management in a dynamic office environment.
