IT PM, Prince II

IT Project Manager Required to work for Industry leading Dartford based business for an exerienced IT PM to undertake the role of Technical Programme and Project Manager imbedded within the IT Infrastructure & Operations Team.

- Developing project scopes, schedule and cost. Define objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Measure the delivery team's compliancy to the project methodology and take corrective action as necessary
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop fit for purpose programme to manage all projects and track progress to completion.
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Measure programme and project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Manage the relationship with the all stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Typical IT infrastructure projects will involve the following technology stack:

- Virtualisation - VMware & Nutanix
- Microsoft Desktop V7 and above
- Networking - Cisco, HP, switching, routing, MPLS
- Telephony - Mitel
- Video Conferencing - Cisco, PEXIP cloud solution
- Office 365
- Various cloud technologies - i.e. Microsoft Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
- Server OS (Microsoft & Unix)
- Microsoft Enterprise stack (SQL, Exchange, SharePoint, Remote Desktop, etc)

Project Management Qualifications:

- Required, Prince 2, Agile, PMP or equivalent qualification
- Required, ITIL V3
- Lean Six Sigma methodologies

Should be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

- A minimum of 8 years as the principle programme/project manager on technology centric projects
- Experience of managing to commercial and legal related activities with the relevant departments.

- Excellent understanding of business change management within a medium or large organisation.
- Excellent document writing skills
- Ability to understand complex requirements and distilling into clear sets of deliverables.
- Ability to communicate complex systems to technical and non-technical staff
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the business
- Managing internal / external relationships as a technical subject matter expert
- Strong Influencing skills - Ability to make things happen when not in a position of direct control.
- Sound decision making
- Able to participate as a member of a multi-disciplined team
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to motivate others

- A minimum of 8 years working within a medium to large enterprise
- A minimum of 8 years as the principle programme/project manager on technology centric projects
- Recent working history to include construction, manufacturing or engineering would be beneficial.
- Recent working history to include working within a heavily regulated environment
- Considerable experience of managing technology programmes and projects
- Considerable experience of working with 3rd party suppliers, including creating SOW's and ensuring delivery to agreed milestones.
- Considerable experience of working within the constraints of time, cost and quality
- Considerable experience of achieving results through influencing skills rather than direct control
- Experience of successfully managing multiple stakeholders with conflicting demands and priorities
- Experience of delivering complex, cloud based solutions with significant integration needs
- Experience of delivering with PaaS, IaaS, Cisco, Microsoft stack, Mitel
- Experience of delivering projects within a programme structure
- Strong, demonstrable track record of technical project delivery
- Significant experience of managing programmes/projects and supporting cross functional teams delivering process improvements into operations
- Experience of managing change within an organisation
