We are now seeking to recruit a Vehicle & Plant Engineer to carry out installation / Commissioning / service and repairing of fire detection & extinguishing systems on vehicles and plant across the UK (the role is based out of the Chubb Leeds branch)

This role will entail regular travel across the UK and occasionally internationally and therefore does require an individual who is flexible and can accommodate c 3 nights a week away from home.

In order to be considered for this opportunity you will need to be an approved Fitter / Plant Engineer or Mechanic, having served an apprenticeship in electrical contracting or having achieved equivalent academic qualifications to City & Guilds or equivalent standard. A valid driving licence and the ability to weld is also required.

You will also need to possess excellent customer service skills, the ability to work on your own initiative whilst thriving in a pressure/ deadline driven environment and an organised approach to be able to work effectively following procedures/ processes in a very large corporate organisation.

The basic salary for this position is £22,000- £24,000 per annum, however with Overtime and travel allowances the role holder will likely earn c £30,000- £35,000 per annum.
