Senior Project Engineer (Residential Housing)

About the role:

Supporting the Technical Manager this role is to work on the coordination process of new build residential schemes, including outright sale and retirement living, from initial design through to final completion.

The main responsibilities will include undertaking appraisals of site investigation reports and making recommendations on the design options with particular reference to brownfield or contaminated sites. You'll liaise with framework consultants to influence design, particularly in foundation and road & sewer construction, to value engineer any solutions. You'll also liaise with the NHBC on all technical matters including the signing off of all layouts and designs, payment of all fees, the registration of all schemes for building control and warranty, discharge all conditions and ensure CML compliance is achieved.

You'll also act as the focal point for liaison for the Local Authority, including all section agreements, highway opening and closing permits, accommodating clerk or works inspections, arranging maintenance inspections and handing over adoptable works.

About you:

As a technical specialist you will have proven experience and an in-depth knowledge of new build residential development's, you'll also be familiar with the reporting necessary to secure planning consent and any subsequent reports necessary to facilitate a start on site.

You will also need to be qualified to HNC level or higher in Civil Engineering Studies or similar or qualified by experience as well as good analytical and communication skills. You'll also be able to work on your own as well as with a wider Project Team.

The role will be based in Wolverhampton and will require travel between our operational areas, therefore the successful candidate must have a full UK driving licence.
