The position will require an individual to solve customer support issues by visiting the end-user's location, specifically in a retail environment. Experience in all areas of Apple Devices is critical. The technician will be based at the client?s site. The technician will be required to provide support to equipment and systems including servers, point of sale (POS), security, workstations, office equipment, telephone equipment, network gear, printers and system software and application re-imaging, as well as portable and stand-alone end-user devices.


  • Perform field services duties as required by the incident;
  • Inventory/Asset Management activities
  • Perform Installs, moves, adds, changes (IMAC);
  • Assist with store opening /closing / remodel
  • Operational monitoring;
  • Incident and Problem determination and resolution;
  • Technical support and break-fix;
  • Software re-imaging;
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity within the site;
  • Disaster Recovery support activities at supported sites;
  • Point of Sale (POS) equipment support including the following:
    • register base;
    • register display;
    • register printer;
    • register keyboard;
    • debit pin pad;
    • barcode hand scanner and cables;
    • integrated payment terminal
    • bed scanner;
    • presentation scanner;
    • controller;
    • software reloads;
    • coin dispenser; and
    • price verifiers;
    • IOS devices and peripherals
    • fiscal devices
  • Back of house equipment support including, but not limited to:
    • server;
    • office workstation;
    • reader board support;
    • printer;
    • Axis print sharing device;
    • time clocks;
    • hand-held ordering device; and
    • RF access point / wireless access point (WAP);
  • Security Equipment support
  • Network gear support including, but not limited to:
    • in-store music;
    • switches;
    • routers;
    • satellite;
    • hubs;
    • cabling; and
    • associated cabinets;
  • Miscellaneous equipment support including:
    • lighting panel communication;
    • UPS equipment; and
    • generators;
    • comfort systems;
    • two-way radios/wireless; and
    • traffic counters;

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience providing desk side support.
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills that includes hardware, software, and other break/fix issues which might include printing, networking, and file shares, etc.
  • Printer support can include barcode printers, various types of scanners
  • Ability to resolve Windows 7 and OS X Operating System Issues and Errors
  • Basic Network troubleshooting skills and knowledge (mainly Cisco)
  • Proficient in the latest Microsoft Office Applications (2013 and higher)
  • Customer infrastructure support (wiring and connectivity)
  • Apple certified technician (preferred)
  • Maintain and abide with compliance activities (these activities are driven from a central compliance group).
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Strong sense of customer service
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Ability to sift through technical issues and know what to do next and/or when to escalate for help
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Team-oriented / team player / ability to share ideas as well as listen to ideas
  • Some experience with support and administration of telephones (PBX system and/or VoIP system).
  • Ability to walk and bend and perform labor-related duties of connecting computer equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when moving electronic equipment
  • Able to work in a retail environment, supporting issues ranging from iPhone payment systems and inventory tracking
  • Zebra Printer support knowledge
  • Valid Driver?s License & Own Vehicle

Required Minimum Experience

  • A Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field

Preferred Certifications

  • Comp TIA A+
  • MCDST ? Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician
  • ACSP: Apple Certified Support Professional or ACDT: Apple Certified Desktop Technician
  • MCSA ? Windows 10
