***English Academic Mentor

***Russell Group & top university graduates required

***Full time position Mon-Fri

***Earn up to £300 per week

***Excellent experience for aspiring teachers

***Secondary schools across South Yorkshire

With secondary schools located across South Yorkshire we are sure to have a school well-suited to what you're looking for. Whether that is a challenging inner-city school or a school in the suburbs, whichever type of school you're looking to work within to gain experience we can help.

The role will involve working with small group intervention sessions within an English department. Some of the students will be pupil premium learners who have access to extra intervention support in order to 'close the gap' between their non-disadvantaged peers. You will have direct opportunities to truly impact the learning and success of these students. Similarly you will be working with other small groups of learners, for example those who are bordering on grade boundaries such as A*/A or C/D. Regardless of pupil ability your input will be highly valuable in helping them to reach their potential.

The ideal candidate for an English Academic Mentor role will be someone who is highly academic with a strong degree classification and A Level grades. You should also be a confident communicator who can easily build rapport to effectively build relationships not only with young learners, but also with parents and colleagues.
