Project Manager - Software Projects
Project Manager required by a long term client to initially join a large, complex software / analytics change programme in Manchester. You'll be joining a project which has been bubbling away for almost a year and the next key stage is about to kick off. We need a strong, experienced PM to work with some challenging stakeholders to deliver a large IT project in a complex environment.
A rapidly expanding consultancy working with a variety of blue-chip clients, are currently seeking a Project Manager to join their high calibre team. They have had a stellar couple of years, with growth across the entire business due to a number of high profile project wins - the one you'll be working on is the highest profile of them all.
You will work closely with a highly experienced Project Manager who has delivered projects for a number of household names. That PM has been on this project from day one and has been instrumental in the thus far successful delivery, you will be expected to continue a lot of that work and will be able to learn from the current PM.
You will also work closely with the technical delivery team, which includes software development professionals, software testers and BI consultants. You will be able to speak to them, work out any issues and ensure the successful delivery to the end client.
To be successful in this role, you are going to need to have demonstrable experience of delivering large scale IT projects - preferably software or data analytics focused.
As projects will change depending on the client, you will need to be comfortable delivering projects using whatever methodology fits best, whether that is Agile, Waterfall or a hybrid approach.
This role will follow PRINCE2 methodologies so a certification / qualification would be advantageous.
For project planning, the current team are using MS Project so you'll either need to pick this up quickly or in an ideal world, you'll have plenty of experience with this tool.
We are looking to have this role tied up before Christmas, meaning we can book an initial 1st stage interview pretty quickly with a face to face, on-site meet shortly after.
