Our client is a well-known retail brand, and they are looking to increase their online presence. As a Business Analyst with a strong focus on data, you will be part of the Technical team within their Partnerships and Innovation function. Your days will consist of helping to solve customer and user problems by ideating and defining creative solutions through to evaluating emerging technologies, mostly with digital start-ups. This might be through formulating and running trials and PoCs and forming recommendations based on their outcome. For example, AI / machine learning / chatbots / augmented reality are just some of the trials you would be involved in.

Job Description:

- Shape and initiate PoCs & trials, including: briefs, hypotheses, problem statements, objectives, high-level project plans, assessment frameworks, value propositions (in conjunction with stakeholders).
- Drive trials in flight, including requirement & data gathering, workshop facilitation, engagement with business & 3rd party vendor stakeholders.
- Frame and communicate assessment and findings from trials, including recommendation documents, analysis of outcomes, process design and presentation to stakeholders.
- Be comfortable, interpreting data, identify trends and patterns of information and harness this analysis into meaningful output using statistical techniques.
- Deliver accurate and timely information that is easy to interpret and understand.
- Clearly agree new requirements, and deliver according to (managed) expectations.
- Comfortable presenting to large groups and senior stakeholders.
- Show genuine interest in new technologies and tools.

Skills/Experience:

- Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst.
- Technical expertise regardingdata models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Some knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
