Role and Responsibilities:

To support the eCommerce team with developments and the implementation of key web projects across the business.Overall responsibility for developing and maintaining all company websites: Footasylum, Drome, Seven, own-brand websites and mobile apps

  • Interpreting business requirements and technical specifications, then implementing suitable solutions
  • Ownership of technical projects and overseeing work carried out by other team members
  • Perform coding to technical and functional specification
  • Investigate, analyse and document reported defects
  • Consider and minimise the impact of any requested changes on site performance and stability
  • Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects
  • Create, document, and implement test plans, scripts, and test harnesses
  • Monitor performance and capacity of live systems and diagnose performance related problems
  • Liaising with 3rd party suppliers for digital services
  • Be part of an on call rota to deal with business critical out of hours issues


Your profile:

Essential Skills

  • Qualification in a computer related field or equivalent with 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Manage customer technical issues through resolution
  • Communicate development changes to third parties and manage customer technical issues
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery and responsive web design
  • Solid understanding of web standards and best practices
  • Analytical and methodical individual with the ability to identify and solve technical issues quickly and efficiently
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage own workload
  • An eye for detail and ability to accurately implement complex briefs
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Strong communication skills with ability to develop positive relationships internally and with third parties
  • Good knowledge of SEO best practice

Desired Skills

  • Experience supporting Ecommerce
  • Knowledge of testing techniques including A/B testing methods to improve conversion
  • Understanding of XML
  • Backend technologies (such as ASP.Net, Angular JS, PHP, C# etc)
  • Experience with version control (GitHub)
  • Experience using Google retail solutions
