Person specification - Science Graduate
This school are looking for someone who comes with heaps of determination and ambition. Ideally you will have a 2:1 or above degree in a Science subject. Some previous experience of working with children is ideal, for example tutoring, but not essential.
The successful Science Graduate will be mainly working with GCSE pupils in science. You will be supporting KS3 and KS4 students within the science curriculum, gaining excellent experience prior to a teacher training course next year. After a period of training you will be required to deliver 1:1 and small group intervention sessions.
The Science Teaching Assistant role itself will find you supporting the class teacher over an array of topics, helping students grasp theories and gain a better understanding of learning objectives in science. Throughout your time at the school you will find yourself work within the classroom and in smaller groups, aiding students who may need additional support in certain areas of science topics.
