Your new company

An established, acquisitive restaurant chain is looking to hire a Financial Controller to help continue growth and expansion. This business has a large employee base, and the finance function mirrors this.

The company has a Head Office based in the City of London, and a secondary office in Chiswick. There will be a small time needed to be spent in the Chiswick office, and so this needs to be taken into account when applying.

Your new role

You will be responsible for dealing with processes and controls review and improvements. Due to the nature of the business, there will also be a need for some cash flow analysis to occur.

The role will also require some involvement in the more strategic decisions the company may need to make going forwards, as well as staff management on a day-to-day basis. The finance function in the company is large, and so experience in managing staff both Qualified and Non-Qualified makes up a large part of this role.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be a team player and confident in being able to engage with senior stakeholders within the business. The high turnover, and general size, of this business means that the board needs regular updates on the situation they are in and so experience in the creation of board packs will be an essential requirement.

You will need to enjoy working with software and data analysis. Due to the corporate environment in the Head Office, the ability to engage with members of staff from varying specialisms and levels of seniority will be needed throughout.

Previous experience in working in the leisure, or hospitality, sector will be beneficial, but is not essential.
