Meraki Talent?s financial services client is short listing for a Portfolio Manager (Senior PMO) to lead and develop an important area of the business. Responsible for 20 ? 25 large projects and anywhere up to 100 smaller projects at any one time, this role would suit an experienced portfolio manager looking for a new challenge. Reporting directly into the ?Head of? the role offers breadth and ownership as well as plenty responsibility.

Responsibilities of the Portfolio Manager (Senior PMO):

- Act as the primary point of contact for receipt and prioritisation of new work requests.

- Ensuring that the future demand is understood and the scheduling of work is optimised taking into account technical requirements, required effort, capability and available capacity.

- Reporting on the consolidated view across the portfolio of delivery s.

- Providing information and reporting to enable the Change Executive to exercise its governance and oversight responsibilities.

- Establish the likely profile for demand over a 12 month horizon

- Establish a plan which enables controlled delivery against business objectives.

- Managing the demand for work, both pipeline and in progress.

- Scheduling work packages/projects for delivery

Background of the Portfolio Manager (Senior PMO):

- Extensive experience working as a Portfolio or Senior PMO Manager within the financial services industry is absolutely essential

- Proven experience of resource management (allocation, prioritisation, negotiation and reporting)

- Strong organisational skills

- Strong work management skills

- Strong reporting skills
