Associate Director (Transport/Traffic Engineering)
After opening 2 new offices in the last year, and continual growth across all sectors an opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director to join our client's expanding offices in London.
This is a new role that has come about due to the growth in the business, with an experienced Transport professional required with strong communication and business development skills also vital to the role
As the successful Associate Director you will have experience in both Public Sector and Private Sector works, ideally specialising in Transport Planning with both Councils and Developers.
The position itself will include, but not be limited to:
·Responsibility for the quality and profitability of transport planning, parking and traffic engineering projects allocated by specific client Accounts and projects.
·To work closely and in partnership with other Associate Directors to deliver a joined-up consultancy support service.
·To line manage a team of principal and senior engineers, consultants and planners and technical support staff.
·To provide strategic direction/guidance on major projects
·To ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget
·Ensure performance, quality and contractual compliance is managed effectively.
·To provide effective management (including training programme) via performance reviews of staff and all members of the team associated with any projects
·To seek out business opportunities, through tender process and contacts
·To provide exceptional liaison with the Client.
·Degree or equivalent
·Substantial experience of at least 10 years, a minimum of 3 of which should have been spent working for, or on behalf of, a local authority
·Professional Membership MICE/MCILT/MIHT
·Detailed knowledge of Traffic Engineering, Highways Engineering, Parking and Transportation Planning
·Broad and deep professional experience in programme and project management
·Broad business knowledge and understanding
·Significant skills and experience in people management
