IT Helpdesk Engineer to join a hugely successful Company in Dundee offering a niche product to a global customer base. This is a 12-month fixed term contract with a high chance of extension. This is the chance to join the IT Service Desk Team responsible for the day to day running of internal technology services. You will be tasked with monitoring and supporting internal Server, Application and Desktop environments acting as the first point of contact for incoming support calls. We are looking for an articulate individual with exceptional written and communication skills who has great exposure to technical support, problem solving and escalating issues in a timely manner, whilst clearly documenting all activity. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a first line support role within in a busy helpdesk environment, alternatively this role would be suited to an ambitious graduate looking to prove themselves in their first IT role. Responsibilities: ** Provide excellent customer service ** Ensuring that all issues are logged, prioritised and resolved within SLA's. Handle and record all calls into the Service Desk, via telephone, web service and email. ** Troubleshoot and resolve tickets on first contact. ** Maintain ownership of Incidents, ensuring status update and resolution according to SLA's ** Escalate calls to second line support ** Troubleshooting Microsoft Windows operating systems Skill set: ** Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Office suite ** Experience and understanding of Microsoft Lync and SharePoint ** Desktop, laptop and mobile device hardware support ** Active Directory and Exchange user administration ** Hardware, software purchase and maintenance This will be a good opportunity for someone who is looking to expand their skills and progress their career within IT Support within a busy technical environment.
