3rd Line Support Technician - Information Systems/Application Development
6 Month initial contract

PTS Consulting is looking for a 3rd Line Support Technician to join our client on a 6 month initial contract, based in Durham.

You will be responsible for providing both application development and support for administrative applications provided by the client to manage user activities.


  • Responsible for the development and support of Information Systems for the client.
  • Participate in the co-ordination of all IT related activity concerning Information Systems.
  • Develop required functionality in software according to agreed quality standards, specifications and timescales.
  • Working within a team of developers or project teams, identify and prioritise business needs and ensure delivery of appropriate system solutions.
  • Act as IT liaison with third party suppliers.
  • Participate in the selection and procurement of new products and services in relation to Information Systems.
  • Participate in the delivery of training courses as and when required.
  • Create and maintain operational, systems and user documentation.
  • Seek to expand and maintain up-to-date knowledge of key technologies, methods and approaches relevant to Information Systems.

Key Experience

  • Significant experience developing, supporting and maintaining Microsoft Dynamics application and components
  • Knowledge of Oracle or SQL Server relational databases and database programming
  • Building CRM forms, screens, and views, as well as workflows and reports
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Oracle Forms and Reports (10g.and above)
  • .Net C#, Java, JavaScript (Angular), XML, JDBC, Jasper Reports
  • Unix/Linux OS including shell scripting.
  • Knowledge and practical application of structured programming techniques
