The Opportunity:

- This is a unique opportunity for a candidate at the early stages of their career who is looking for something a little different and exciting
- Working for a boutique (circa 20 people) financial services business that specialises in lending to the sporting, music and entertainment industries you will work in a company that has had a huge amount of success to date, and, has a very exciting future of growth forecast. This role has been created in preparation of this anticipated growth
- Working within a small team concerned with operational oversight and administration of the loans, this role will be varied and offer a huge amount of exposure to the business as a whole. The office is open plan and you will quickly gain a broad understanding of a wide range of functions including deal origination, credit analysis, legal side of the deal, compliance etc.
- Broad duties will include (and will not be limited to) Loan administration and covenant management, Operating bank accounts, Banking system operations, Operational Cost Management, Dealing with Funding Banks, ad-hoc projects
- More specific duties will include: - o Managing interest and principal repayments diary within the banking system
- o Preparing payment advice notices to send to borrowers
- o Capturing covenant requirements at closing of transaction and recording within the banking system
- o Managing covenant requirements throughout life of the transaction
- o Setting up deal related payments from bank accounts
- o Managing user access
- o Monitoring and managing data quality within the banking system
- o Report building, extracting and manipulating data
- o Bank reconciliations

Your Experience:

- You will have a strong record of academic achievement and be focused on a career in financial services
- It is essential that you've had some work experience, ideally within financial services, and, through this experience be motivated to work for a boutique firm
- You must be IT literate with demonstrable experience of using Excel and other MS Office programmes, and, ideally other databases as within this role you will be taking a lead in using a newly acquired loan management system
- This role will have a range of both administrative and more complex duties requiring good numerical skills and excellent attention to detail / accuracy. You must therefore be realistic and flexible, and, happy to work in a boutique company where you can't be precious and must be hands-on
- It is fine to be ambitious as this firm has a very exciting future planned. Therefore, the opportunities for you in the medium to long-term could be interesting
- Some experience of working in loan administration could be useful but is not essential
- A demonstrable interest in sport or music would also be great as this passion runs through the firm
