Assistant Accountant job based in Hull. Very nice working environment.

Your new company
An established privately owned manufacturing company based in Hull. Working as part of a small team. Supporting the Company Accountant.

Your new role
You will review the work of the finance assistants and provide support to them on a day-to-day basis, reconcile the nominal ledger and bank accounts, prepare VAT returns, assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, process a small weekly and monthly payroll, prepare month end journals, and assist with budgets.

Hours of work are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 3.45pm on Friday, 35 hours per week.

What you will need to succeed
You will be AAT qualified, possess excellent Excel skills, and will have good all round experience gained in a finance department.

What you will get in return
A salary of up to £22,000 per annum + 24 days holiday (plus bank holidays) + pension + healthcare scheme.
