My client are one of the worlds leading art and design companies , the company currently operates across four principle sites including a Head Office based in Central London, with three studios based in Stroud, South London and Devon where the majority of the staff are employed. The group currently has a total payroll of 180 employees.

Due to growth and development they are currently recruiting a Desktop Support Analyst to be based within there Stroud office .

Reporting to the Head of IT within an expanding team of 6 your duties will involve both telephone and desktop support of the company IT systems in a mixed Mac and PC environment. Setting up and configuring computers, diagnosing and solving hardware and software faults amongst other duties, to ensure the business runs smoothly.

This is a new position in a growing team helping the company achieve its vision of enabling a consolidated, joined-up, technical infrastructure that enables all functions of the business to focus on what they do best.

You will be able to get going quickly and support the existing systems, able to work using your own initiative and prioritise workload effectively in line with business demands. Good communication skills are essential as the role will bring you into contact with stakeholders and users of all levels.

KEYS AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
General Duties
*Setting up and configuring client computers, mobile devices, printers, etc
*Registering new devices in MDM software, appropriately asset tagging
*Logging and dealing with helpdesk calls and tickets in a timely manner (Zendesk)
*Diagnosing and solving hardware and software faults
*Analysing ticket patterns to spot underlying issues - fixing where possible and escalating to senior staff where problems are unresolved
*Becoming part of the helpdesk lead rota to assign tickets and checking the backup schedules on a daily basis
*Checking health of servers and systems across the company, escalating where necessary
*Where applicable, travelling to remote sites for installs, upgrades and on-site support
*Where required, research and carry out any additional work at the request of senior staff.

Skills & Experience

*Strong Mac skills - OSX 10.8 onwards.
*Microsoft Windows 7,8,10.
*Apple and/or Microsoft certifications beneficial but not essential.
*AD administration - new users, setting up groups etc.
*Windows Server 2008-2016.
*MS Office 2011 onwards - Mac and PC - including Office 365
*Basic networking knowledge.
*Exchange 2010-2013 - basic admin, creating mailboxes, mailbox access, creating distribution groups.
*VMWare - awareness or experience of VMware 5-6 beneficial but not essential.
*Excellent communication skills
